This original immersive production from the Almeida Young Company examines political identity, the battle between public and private personas and the human need to belong. Developed entirely by young people aged 16-25 alongside industry professionals from the Almeida Theatre and Joeri Smet, founding member of acclaimed Belgian theatre company Ontroerend Goed, this bold new production is presented in The Ditch, directed by Almeida Participation Associate Christopher Elmer-Gorry.

Every element of this production will be worked on in collaboration with young people aged 15-25. Every professional, from creative to production will mentor at least one young person and work together to develop the production, increasing their learning, skills and connections with peers and industry professionals.

This production took place at the Shoreditch Town Hall, and returned there in 2017. This production also played at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival from 14th to the 27th August 2017.
